Akin is one of the few overhead jackets equipped with a snow skirt. So if you like to explore deep pow or tumble around a lot, Akin’ got your back! Oh, and the snow skirt is also detachable for those casual riding days. If the weather turns the Akin has a storm-proof hood to keep wind, cold and snow out. We also added 8 pockets, because you can never have too many pockets, right?

We equip all our fabrics with the PFC-free Bionic-Finish® ECO DWR treatment. Water beads right off instead of soaking in, meaning improved waterproofing and reduced moisture ingress even in severe weather conditions and deep powder.
We fully tape our seams to make sure water can't get in. The seams are the weakest point of any garment, so by using a special tape that makes them totally waterproof, you can ride in the deepest powder or the gnarliest storms with confidence.
We use Sorona ECO insulation, which is made partially from renewable, plant-based fibres, and provides warmth-to-weight ratio for true all-day comfort.
Our shells are a 2-layer laminated fabric, with a super-tough woven outer, and our own Dope DRYTECH waterproof membrane underneath. A DWR treatment is then applied, providing great waterproofing, breathability, and resistance to wear in all situations (80,000 Martindale score minimum).
