Fit and design

Fit and design

The freestyle-inspired Blizzard comes in a front-zip or pullover option, with both providing plenty of room for layering underneath. A lightweight, 2-way stretch fabric delivers max mobility from park laps to slopeside deckchair naps. And you can dial back the bagginess with the drawstring hem if you need to.

Comparatively, the Adept has a sleeker, regular cut for all-mountain focus, along with a cinchable drawstring waist and hem provide a more fitted look.

Waterproofing, breathability, and insulation

When it comes to performance, the Adept and Blizzard feature our reliable, breathable DRY Tech membrane, rated at 15,000mm for waterproofing and 15,000g for breathability. This provides a solid waterproof barrier for all conditions, whether you’re out on a bluebird day or caught in a whiteout. Fully taped seams, a PFAS-free DWR coating, combined with double plackets on the jackets' zip-through constructions further boost protection.

The Blizzard Front Zip and Adept feature medium-weight Fellex® insulation (60gsm in the body and 40gsm in the sleeves and hood) for all-day warmth without feeling bulky. The Blizzard’s pullover style makes it super simple to throw on over just a baselayer for warmer spring laps, or if the temperature drops, you can throw on a midlayer, placing the layering power in your hands. The Blizzard is all about simplicity and versatility.

Pockets, features, and details

Pockets, features, and details

The Adept and Blizzard have adjustable, helmet-compatible hoods, microfleece-lined collars, and underarm vents for temperature control. Both jackets also have a secure media pocket for your phone, left sleeve lift pass pocket, and large handwarmer pockets, too. The Blizzard’s pullover style gives it a large shared handwarmer pocket with built-in media pouch with internal headphone cable routing so you can ride with your favourite tunes.

The Adept’s features aren’t to be overlooked, though! An elasticated snow skirt seals out pow so you stay dry during waist-deep freshies. This boosts the Adept’s versatility for taking on the whole mountain and venturing off-piste. With freestyle at the forefront, the Blizzard is designed to be more minimalistic, keeping you light on your feet.

Wrapping up

Choosing between The Adept and Blizzard comes down to how you ride. Looking for a minimalist design for park laps or a pullover, hoodie-inspired style? The lightweight Blizzard is your best bet, with 2-way stretch for maximum movement and a layer of simple, compact insulation. In comparison, the Adept is more of an all-arounder. The snow skirt, drawstring waist, and mid-weight insulation make the Adept slightly more adaptable to all-mountain missions, deep days, or riders seeking a more fitted look.

Both heavily showcase that signature Dope Snow style and performance, though. And you can’t go wrong with that. Show off your new Adept or Blizzard in our Dope Snow Community Facebook Group, full of stoked-for-snow riders. We’ll see ya in there.
