Name: Kaili Randmäe
BIO: Snowboarder · Dope Snow Team · Park & Freestyle · Inline Skater
Age: 35
Hometown: Tallinn, Estonia
Based in: Tallinn, Estonia

Kaili Randmäe has been strapped into a snowboard since she was five years old, when her dad first put her on a board. Growing up far from the big mountains didn’t stop her from falling in love with riding, and today she’s one of Dope Snow’s riders bringing style, speed, and creativity to every run.

Whether she’s lapping with her crew or surprising people with her skills as a semi-pro inline skater, Kaili brings a fun, no-nonsense energy to snowboarding. In this interview, she shares what keeps her hooked on riding, who she likes to be on the mountain with, and a few things you probably wouldn’t expect.

When did snowboarding first grab you, and what made you stick with it?

Since my dad put me on a snowboard at age of five, snowboarding became a big part of who I am. Still, it wasn’t until I turned 21 that I got hooked on park riding, so I guess you could say I was a late bloomer in that scene. Nowadays snowboarding shapes my routines, choices, and mindset.

How long have you been riding for Dope and what’s been your favorite part of riding with Dope so far?

I’ve been riding with Dope for three seasons now, and what I appreciate most is how they let me ride my own way and challenge myself on my terms. What I value is how they support my wide-ranging riding, from street spots to park features, competitions, and off-piste runs.

What’s one trick you’re most excited about right now - landed or still chasing?

I don’t keep a set trick on my bucket list. I'm chasing the fun and with that, progression happens. When I feel motivated, I push myself to see how far my mental and physical strength can go.

Who’s your go-to crew on the mountain, and how do they keep the energy high?

I keep my go-to crew pretty simple: my close friends, my boyfriend, and honestly anyone who brings motivation and positivity to the day. The right people make such a difference - if the vibe is good, the riding is always better. As for how they keep the energy high… you’d really have to ask them. Whatever they’re doing, it clearly works.

How would you describe your style on a snowboard in three words?

Style, speed and creativity.

What’s the most unexpected or fun place snowboarding has taken you?

So far, no spot nor location has left a lasting impression on me, which just means there’s still plenty of room to discover. The diversity in snowboarding means you can experience everything from streets to powder.

What’s one thing about you most people wouldn’t expect?

I’m also a semi-professional aggressive inline skater and have been on my skates for 21 years. It’s pretty different from snowboarding, but in a weird way I transfer these skills to snowboarding. Skating and riding both require the same mental approach.
