Dope started in 2008, officially launched in 2009 with the MMIX trademark you'll see printed on our gear. Two brothers from Sweden, building their own gear after hearing enough product ideas the big brands kept ignoring, with the rider community calling the shots. What started in Trollhättan has gone worldwide, but the setup hasn't changed. Still privately held, independently owned. No investors, no corporate parent company, no outside shareholders.
Everything is designed in-house at our studio in Gothenburg, Sweden. That's where all fabric development, product design, and tech decisions happen.
Manufacturing takes place at partner factories in Asia. We develop our own fabrics, set our own specs, and test everything before it ships. We own and operate warehouses in Europe and North America, and orders go directly from us to you.
We sell directly to you. No middlemen, no retail partners, no distributor markup. Same investment in materials and construction, without the extra cost layers that come with selling through shops.

We develop our own fabric systems. Our outerwear uses DRYTech, a custom-built membrane system designed for waterproofing and breathability, paired with durable, fully taped seams and a PFAS-free DWR treatment. No forever chemicals.
Every fabric is custom-designed and developed in partnership with reliable bluesign System partner fabric mills in Taiwan and China. Given the focus on high-quality sustainable products, we use the same material supply chain as some of the best-known outdoor brands in the industry. Every batch, every color, every fabric is independently lab tested before it goes into production. Nothing ships until it passes.

Your jacket and pants are built to outlast every season you throw at them. We test every fabric for how it handles wear, tear, water, and pressure. For our latest collection alone, over 25,000 data points were checked before a single piece went into production.

We work with bluesign® to make sure what goes into your gear is safe for you, for the people who make it, and for the planet. 95% of our fabrics are bluesign® Approved. All our jackets, pants, mid-layers, base-layers, gloves, and facemasks carry bluesign® Product certification.
Recycled polyester. PFAS-free DWR. No forever chemicals. Zero plastic in the packaging that reaches you. Our Renewed program has reconditioned over 20,000 items and put them back on the mountain. And we work closely with every factory in our supply chain to make sure working conditions are fair, from the fibre up.

We ride with a crew of skiers and snowboarders from all over the world. Jesper Tjäder and Juho Saastamoinen hold it down at X Games and beyond, while our wider team covers everything from park laps to backcountry lines. They're not just wearing the gear. They're testing it, breaking it, and telling us what to fix.
Every year, we bring riders to HQ for Dream Lab, where they get hands-on with our design team and help shape what comes next. Log in via "My Orders" and follow the steps to register your return. Make sure the gear is unworn, tags still on, and within 30 days of purchase.
For the planet's sake, reuse the packaging if you can. Returning multiple orders in one box? Toss in all the return labels, it helps us process faster.
