It’s no secret that our jacket collection is dripping with style. But how do you choose the right jacket from the Dope jacket lineup? It’s all here in our quick-fire rundown.

Whatever your style, we’ve got a jacket to match. But we totally get that sometimes it helps to have a steer in the right direction. So, we’ve pulled together this jacket guide to help you choose your look this season.

FAQs
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, we’ll quickly break down our two main styles: pullover and full-zip. A pullover is an over-your-head jacket that works like putting on a hoodie, and they usually include a side-zip or half-zip entry for easier on-and-off. Our full-zips (or zip-throughs) are all about easy entry and classic style with a zip in the front.
Whichever you choose, it doesn’t affect the jacket’s performance, warmth, waterproofing, or breathability. Instead, choosing between the two comes down to personal preference and which style you like most. The same goes for the cut, which our Dope jacket shape guide breaks down into Regular, Relaxed, and Boxy.
The Adept is one of the Dope OGs. It’s reliable, fully featured, and designed with the whole mountain in mind. In fact, Adept is a jacket quiver-killer. Whatever the conditions, this full-zip, insulated design does it all, so you never have to swap between different styles again. Torn between the two OGs? Our Dope Adept vs Blizzard comparison settles it.
Like having extra pockets? The Akin has seven of them! Inspired by old-school utility jackets, Akin offers all the storage you need to load up and head out there. It’s also highly waterproof and reliably insulated for taking on varied conditions from park days to big mountain lines.
With its boxy fit, the Apex keeps you comfortable and offers some retro styling. This simple insulated jacket moves with you from first lift to last run and looks just as good at après as it does on the hill. Oh, it also has a handy media pocket to keep all your essentials within easy reach.
Part of our Freedom collection, the Arnok is made from a light and stretchy material so you can move freely. The half-zip fastening also helps keep things sleek, streamlined, and out of your way. Plus, Fellex® insulation runs throughout to keep you warm without adding extra weight.
Blizzard is an awesome blend of a riding hoodie and a fully-featured ski jacket. In fact, it’s no surprise it’s a team and rider fave. Made with our bombproof 2-way stretch outer shell, Blizzard is a perfect mix of performance and comfort. Plus, with its pullover design, Blizzard has all the tech and specs without the bulk, so you stay light on your feet.
The Blizzard Full Zip is a rider favorite and ready for anything. This zip-through blends our bombproof 2-way stretch outer shell with peak tech specs and key features. That way, you can open your curtains in the AM and reach for the Blizzard Full Zip, whatever the conditions.
The Cyclone brings retro vibes to the lineup. With its boxy cut, this softshell jacket screams ‘90s style. However, its throwback style is paired with modern performance. The softshell design provides 24/7 coziness and warmth, plus, the all-mountain tech specs offer non-stop reliability (unlike the dial-up internet of the ‘90s!).
Pull the Halo over your head and you’re ready for anything. With built-in 2-way stretch, the Halo offers max mobility in a minimalist setup to keep your light on your feet. It also has our typical 15k/15k waterproof and breathability performance, making it storm-ready.
The Halo OG pullover offers the exact same tech, performance, and freedom of movement as our Halo jacket. And you’ll also find the same 15k waterproofing and 15k breathability. The only main difference between the Halo OG and the Halo is the Dope logo on the front. So, it purely comes down to style.
The Legacy has tons of space, style, and tech to keep you warm and dry. Made for the whole mountain, the Legacy’s pull-on-and-go design keeps things light. It’s also available as an insulated or shell option, so you can choose whichever you prefer!
This street-inspired style pairs perfectly with its all-mountain stats. We’ve loaded our Puffer jacket with extra Excelloft® insulation (200gsm all over, to be exact), and that way, you stay toasty on even the coldest laps. A full-zip construction means you can let off some steam, too, if you get too warm!
If you’re after a minimalist look in a jacket that can do it all, the Spartan is your pick. Its cinchable boxy cut screams retro in the best way, and its bombproof shell fabric, medium-weight insulation (60gsm body, 40gsm sleeves and hood), and tech specs firmly bring it into the 21st century. What a dream combo.
We’ve teamed up with absolute ski legend Jesper Tjäder to create the JT Spartan spinoff. Available in men’s sizing only, the JT Spartan is a lightly insulated jacket (40gsm) and a love letter to early ‘00s oversized style. As well as dripping in style, it has the performance needed to handle whatever JT throws at it. Yep, it’s tried and tested by the icon himself. There are no guarantees you’ll be able to slide rails as well as JT, though…
The Vertex is designed to ride hard without sacrificing style. Its streamlined look offers serious protection from the elements thanks to the advanced waterproof and breathable 2-way stretch shell and exposed waterproof zippers, and you’ll also find medium-weight insulation and a casual, laid-back fit for taking on whatever the mountain throws your way.
If you’re in the market for a softshell, you can’t get better than Yeti. Its bonded fabric offers a medium-weight insulated terry loop back for warmth and coziness that’ll see you through slushy park laps and pow slashes. We’ve also loaded it with slick touches to make your resort day legendary. You’re welcome. Weighing it up against our other pullover? Read Dope Yeti vs Blizzard comparison.
When browsing our jackets, you’ll notice most models fall into one of two categories: Freedom and All Mountain. Our Freedom series is designed for max mobility. These jackets often have a minimalist approach, with a lightweight, super tough shell fabric and 2-way stretch so you can move freely.
The All Mountain series is loaded with features for you to ride the steepest lines and deepest powder. Basically, whatever the conditions, these jackets can handle it. And lastly, there’s also our Riding Hoodies series. These jackets have softshell material with waterproofing and features, making them perfect for slush laps, warmer temps, and end-of-season fun times.
Yep. All our bluesign® APPROVED jackets are made with the same Recycled Polyester PET material. Oh, and all our jackets feature our DRY Tech performance fabric (15,000 mm and 15,000 g).
The only difference you might notice with our Dope jacket materials is softshell vs. hardshell. A hardshell is your typical ski jacket construction, with waterproofing, breathability, and, often, insulation. Our softshells are more like riding hoodies, with a waterproof, breathable bonded fabric and a soft, fleecy backer.
Nope, not every Dope jacket is insulated. We also offer shell jackets with no insulation. These will keep you light on your feet and allow you to layer up to your preference. The choice is up to you!
Phew, there we have it! A rundown of all our Dope jackets. We’re pretty stoked with the lineup and there are so many to choose from! Picked your style? Lock in the right size with the Dope Snow size guide. We can’t wait to see what style you’ll ride and rep this winter. Riding a board? Every model above also sits in Dope men's snowboard jackets and Dope women's snowboard jackets.
