Different types of Dope pants
Before we break down each style, it helps to know some key differences in our collection. These differences don’t affect the performance, and choosing between them often comes down to personal preference alongside how you typically ride.
Shell and insulated options
Insulated: Choose insulated pants if you ride once a season or during peak winter (cold midwinter conditions), as these pants handle most temperatures and conditions. Dope insulated pants typically feature medium-weight insulation (40 gsm Fellex®) for the perfect balance of warmth and performance.
Shell: Opt for shell pants if you ride in spring or warmer weather, or if you prefer to layer to your preference. Dope shell pants have no insulation, keeping them light and versatile.
Dope bibs or classic-style pants?
Our collection always features two styles: bibs and pants. Bibs provide more coverage, warmth, and protection from snow, as the “bib” sits over your torso and stays in place with adjustable suspenders. Pants are your “classic” design. These fasten at your waist like jeans, while offering waterproof, breathable protection.

Iconic in name and nature. Yep, these are our true quiver-killer pants, delivering superb waterproofing, a relaxed, dropped-crotch fit, and head-turning prints and colorways. Our Iconic pants are also loaded with, well, iconic features, including an elastic, adjustable waistband, zipped and meshed vents, and elasticated snow gaiters. Which Dope pants feature a shorter hem?
The women's versions of the Iconic, Notorious B.I.B, and the Con feature an optional "short" length for you petite shredders. The Iconic pants and Notorious B.I.Bs come 7 cm shorter, while the Con pants come 10 cm shorter. It's only the leg length that's different, so you'll still find identical cuts and features to those of the standard-length version. Please note that only select colorways feature a shorter hem (not the full range), so take a look at our product pages to double-check.
Is every pair of Dope pants made with the same material?
Yep. All our bluesign® APPROVED snow pants are made with the same Recycled Polyester PET material. Oh, and all our bibs and classic pants feature our Dry TECH performance fabric (15,000mm and 15,000g).
Is every pair of Dope pants insulated?
Nope, not every pair of Dope pants is insulated. The lineup includes shell styles with no insulation, so the layering power is in your hands (or legs). Our comparison table above shows which is which.
