Snowboard coats should be functional and stylish. They must also be able to withstand whatever the weather throws at them. DopeSnow uses a waterproof material called DryTech. This fabric is exceptionally durable and can be dyed in various colours, including dark tones. This gives the designer a lot of flexibility in how they can style the snowboard jacket.
Breathability and waterproofing
Our DryTech polyurethane outer layer provides excellent protection against rain, sleet, hail, snow, and mud. It enhances our waterproofing capabilities by providing a high-performance, durable water repellent (DWR) coating. This DWR coating reduces the friction coefficient between the surface and the elements down to near zero so that the water will bead up and roll off instead of soaking into the fabric, meaning you can ride in less favourable weather conditions for longer without fear of getting wet.
Moisture permeability is the measure of the ability of water vapour to move through fabric. It's measured in grams per square metre (g/m2) of fabric. For snowboarding, wear a snow jacket with an improved breathability rating so that you don't feel too sweaty when working hard.
